THE FOOD

Ingredients & Recipes

All of our proteins are over 90% lean, drastically reducing the fat content compared to the typical alternative. The increase in pure protein causes less shrinkage through the cooking process, which results in a larger portion size with a significant cut in calories.

The goal of our recipes is to limit the amount of sugar and fat without sacrificing any of the taste. We accomplish this by using natural ingredients that can help liven up a dish, without adding all the extra calories.

Preparation & Portion Size

All of our meals are prepared using digital scales that are accurate to a tenth of an ounce. This helps to ensure calorie count accuracy, as well as providing an extremely consistent product. One of the most important pieces of eating healthy is portion control. Since everything is perfectly measured, we take all the guess work out, and provide our customers with perfectly controlled meals.

We use a variety of spices and marinades for our proteins. For instance, our pulled pork is marinated and slow cooked for almost twenty hours. This allows us to use leaner cuts of protein without cutting down on any of the taste. The spices provide a great deal of unique flavors with hardly any calorie increase.

Cooking Methods

Our steak and chicken are grilled using a high efficiency two-sided griddle that helps seal in all the juices. This allows us to use our leaner cuts of protein, without the risk of dry final product.

We use a Turbo Oven that helps simulate frying. The end result is a crispy texture, without all the oil associated with traditional frying.

Refrigeration & Delivery

Our food is prepared fresh every morning and then quickly cooled to safe temperatures. Everything remains in our cooling facility until it is ready to be delivered by our refrigerated vehicle. The food is transported to your local LeanBox, where it is kept at a constant 37° that ensures safety as well as food quality.

We make deliveries to the machine everyday to keep the product as fresh as possible. Computer systems monitor the temperature and inventory control to make sure there can never be any spoilage or unsafe food.
